  • I have been using the device on the HMS platform for just over 1 week. At first I was concerned that most applications on google play store will not be available on the HMS platform. Findorra and Petal search are great which means access to all the applications I use on my android device. The HMS is userfriendly and is easy to operate and adjust. I did initially carry two devices (android and the Huawei) on the first day after having configured the Hauwei in fear of not been able to access application etc. however this this was only for the first day and have been using the Hauwei for a full 6 days without another OS or device. Even with multiple applications, the HMS OS performs well with no lag. It is also easy to find various settings and applications and the layout is easy to operate.

Sorry, just noticed that Gmail application is downloaded using petal search – so this resolves what I raised.

Adding Gmail was relatively easy using the standard email application on HMS. If I were to compare it to the Android based GMail application though – the emails are automatically caterogized as Primary, Updates and Promotions (this enables mostly the promotional/update emails to be received with no alerts and automatically categorized – as usually these emails are received at a high frequentcy rate). With the HMS the emails are received within one folder which are not categorized and you find the phone alerting more often with the promotions/update emails received within Gmail.

I must say that the phone clone application worked well and was successful in transfering my data from an android based. I have noticed, however, that some applications does not copy to the new device (eg. Facebook). Facebook was also a challenge installing from Findorra but installed well from Petal Search.
